Bridal Tips for glowing skin

Wedding is one of the most cherished and special day for a bride, a day when memories are made and she is at the centre of all attention and in focus of all cameras. To look radiant with flawless glowing skin and youthful is on the wish list of every bride. At the same time with all wedding preps and deadlines it can be a struggle to take out time for yourself.Well all this can be achieved easily by nurturing skin with some easy and natural at home rituals, being in touch with ones own individual style and taste. Most importantly don’t stress out and stay positive.Here are some simple Pre- Bridal skincare tips at home for a glowing skin and not just for bride but family and friends too;

Bed-time Ritual

Our skin responds best to all skin care leave in products when our body is rested at night. A month before the festivity begins get yourself a good facial oil or serum for skin brightening.I personally recommend INATUR Kumkumadi Oil and Kumkumadi Serum. You can also make a skin brightening serum at home and that can be applied on face and neck including under eyes. Take Rosehip oil  20ml and break in 5 Vitamin E capsules into it.For those with oily skin can add 10-12 drops of tea tree essential oil to it. Shake it and store it in a glass bottle. This can be applied every night before bedtime.Soothing Inflamed Skin and Acne I have seen that those with oily and acne prone skin are more worried about skin treatments for them. They are apprehensive about visiting the salon for treatments as there is always a risk of hygiene practices at the salons
Here are simple tips for brides with oily skin

Apply Cucumber juice, Aloe Vera gel, Oats powder, Honey and Curd mask and Tomato juice.
Hydrosols also come in handy and Inatur Lavender Hydrosol is very beneficial

Remove Tan with Saffron Ubtan

Take the following ingredients; Bengal gram 1 tablespoon, Sandalwood powder 1 teaspoon, pinch of Turmeric powder, Juice of ½ lemon and few strands of saffron soaked in yogurt. Leave the saffron in the yogurt so that it leaves the color. Mix all ingredients together to form a paste. Apply it all over face, neck, back, arms, legs & all areas where you see the tan.Leave it for 20 minutes and remove it by massaging in circular motion. This should be done everyday for a week to see a remarkable difference.

Lighten Pigmentation

Soak 10-12 Chironji seeds in raw milk. Let it stand for 10minutes till chironji gets softs and breaks. Make a paste and apply all over face. Repeat it on alternate days.

Self-Massage

Brides have a lot of stress due to preparations for the wedding and daily body massage with pure vegetable oils and essential oils can be very destressing.

Bath Salts

Relax yourself by running a nice bath and adding bath salts to it. Add some drops of essential oils such as lavender oil, jasmine oil or ylang-ylang oil.

Skin Firming

Egg whites and honey are known for their many health benefits. Egg whites are rich in the protein, that triggers the new cells regeneration improving skin’s elasticity.

Honey is a powerful antioxidant and brings hydration to your skin.

Take an egg and separate the yolk to get the egg white. Mix the egg white with 1
tablespoons of honey, those with dry skin can add a tablespoon of olive oil. Egg
whites can cause dryness to the skin. Beat it well to form a blended liquid. Apply it toyour face and neck using fingertips and brush. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry. This mask can be used once in a week

Body Polishing

Try these body polishing masks at home.
Jojoba Oil, Neem Oil and Kalonji Powder Body Polish: This is an anti-bacterial body polish for deep cleansing and skin detox. It is especially beneficial for those with skin allergies.
Take 1 tablespoon Jojoba Oil,1 tablespoon Neem Oil, 1table spoon Kalonji Powder finely crushed, ½ teaspoon honey. Mix all the ingredients and blend them well and it is ready to use. Olive oil, Sugar and Rose Body Polish This body polish is very hydrating and nourishing. It is ideal for sensitive skin.
Ingredients: ½ cup dried and powdered rose petals, 1 tablespoon crushed sugar, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon shea butter or any other body butter, 2-3 drops of Rose essential oil.

General Health Tips

Our beauty is closely related to health of our mind and body. When health is weak, we are stressed or exposed to harmful chemicals and pollutants it reflects on the face.Visit a gynaecologist as soon as you want to be ready to be the bride to be. A simple blood test can let us know about the health from inside.

Diet

Avoid Processed Food: Many nutrients are processed and remain no longer active in processed foods. Inefficient food reduces the flow of energy and brings deficiencies in body making our skin look tired, depleted and dull. Bridal Diet should be more focused on a liquid diet. Keep taking coconut water, fresh juices, plenty of water, fresh salad, fruits, and vegetables.

Too much protein especially the one derived from animal fats, meats, eggs, chicken, and cheese can increase the uric acid in body. This excess protein can surface in the form of warts, moles, and excess body hair.

Reduce Alcohol intake. Alcohol can have dehydrating effect on skin. Consumed excessively it can make skin look dull, dry, irritated and blotchy.

Quit Smoking as Nicotine found in cigarettes is proven to cause aging, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity.

DeStress

Avoid Being Stressed as Emotional stress causes our nerves to produce excess sebum that can clog pores and blood walls leading to psoriasis, eczema or acne.Try a 5 days Detox Plan. The bride no matter what always looks the best and the prettiest. It’s the occasion, and the aura of the bride is unmatchable. By a five days detox I mean body and skin detox. Brides must plan the five days detox before the festivities begin. Do not use makeup in this period. Brides must follow a good skin care regime and home DIY that can make skin glow naturally without going to a parlour and spending a lot of money.

Lastly, listen to your body as it indicates which way to take. Wishing good luck and happiness.
